Facial Acupuncture, sometimes called Cosmetic Acupuncture, is a centuries-old practice experiencing a well-deserved resurgence — a natural, needle-based approach to softening fine lines and wrinkles without surgery, injections, or downtime.
Tiny needles placed along the face stimulate circulation, encouraging your own body to produce more collagen. Over a series of sessions, skin becomes more nourished, oxygenated, and hydrated from within — resulting in visibly tighter, more radiant skin and an overall lift in your complexion. No anesthesia. No toxins. No surgery. Just your body, gently invited to do what it already knows how to do.

Do the needles hurt?
This is the question I hear most, and I understand why — but there’s truly no need to worry. These needles are nothing like the ones used for a shot or a blood draw. They’re as fine as a thread, closer to the feeling of a soft bristle than anything sharp. As someone who is needle-averse myself, I’ve spent years refining a gentle technique specifically so my clients feel calm and cared for throughout.
Are there any side effects?
None. Facial acupuncture is entirely natural — no fillers, no chemicals, nothing injected. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, enlivened, and glowing, with no downtime, puffiness, or swelling to worry about.
Why choose Facial Acupuncture over other treatments?
Graceful, long-term radiance is the heart of why I turn to facial acupuncture in my own practice. Neuromodulators and injections carry real risks — allergic reactions, temporary paralysis of surrounding nerves, a loss of natural expression. Fillers can bring puffiness, swelling, bruising, and extended downtime. Chemical peels and lasers carry similar tradeoffs. And cosmetic surgery comes with its own list: anesthesia complications, weeks of recovery, potential nerve damage, and scarring.
Facial acupuncture isn’t a band-aid. Fillers need topping off every six weeks to eight months to maintain results — but the collagen your own body builds through acupuncture lasts, because it’s yours.
At CARRINNA, we go deeper still. Through Love is Qi, we address the emotional and spiritual patterns often held in the lines of the face — working with the energy that moves through your entire body, not just your skin. This holistic approach doesn’t just bring a glow to your face; it often means better sleep, more energy, and improved digestion, too. When your whole self is more at rest, it shows on the outside.
How many treatments do I need?
For the best foundation, I recommend a series of 12 weekly treatments, each 1.5 hours long. While your skin responds to the subtle stimulation, we’re also working with the energy throughout your entire body. Each session closes with LED Light Therapy, cupping, and gua sha to deepen the results. Many clients notice a shift after their very first treatment, with each following session building on the last. After your initial series, maintenance sessions are scheduled around what your body needs.
